To all of my friends in Macleod at Christmas...
![]() To all of my friends in Macleod at Christmas, Christmas is a time to give thanks for the gifts of family and friends. Around the world, we gather together to rejoice in our blessings and embrace the holiday spirit. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who supported me in 2009. Your generosity knows no bounds, and inspires in me great pride for the people of Macleod. Despite the challenges of the past year, I am proud to report that our Conservative government remains focussed on helping those Canadians most affected by the global economic recession. Canada’s Economic Action Plan provides the support that workers and their families need, making it a little easier to make ends meet this holiday season. The hardships of the past year have proved no match for the blessings of family and friends. Sandy and I are overjoyed by the news of another grandchild, whose arrival we eagerly await. This incredible gift reminds us of the true meaning of Christmas, and of the importance of giving thanks for all that we have. As we celebrate Christmas at home in Alberta, our thoughts are with the brave men and women of the Canadian Forces. They serve with courage in the face of danger, in the hope of sharing the gift of freedom that we enjoy as Canadians every day. We wish them peace and joy this holiday season, and pray for their safe return. I look forward to representing Macleod in Ottawa in 2010, as we continue to build a stronger better Canada. On behalf of myself, Sandy and my entire family, I wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and all the best for a healthy and prosperous new year. Sincerely, Ted |
