
Ted Menzies named Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance

Ottawa – Ted Menzies, Member of Parliament for Macleod, received a new assignment from Prime Minister Stephen Harper on October 10, 2007, becoming the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance. “I am looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance,” said Menzies. “This position allows me the privilege to better represent the constituents of Macleod as our government works to make this Parliament effective in delivering results for all Canadians.” As Parliamentary Secretary, Menzies will assist the Minister of Finance by supporting productive dialogue between Parliamentarians and the Minister, and within the government. Prior to this announcement, Menzies was Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Trade and to the Minister of International Cooperation. |
