Menzies participates in launch of ‘Believe – The Music Video’ for 2010 Vancouver-Whistler Olympics
Ottawa, ON – On September 19th, Macleod MP Ted Menzies represented the Government of Canada at the launch of ‘Believe – The Music Video’, a project initiated by Bell Canada, a Premier National Partner for the 2010 Vancouver-Whistler Olympic Winter Games, to support the Own the Podium campaign.
“The 2010 Games provide Canadians an opportunity to highlight the excellence of our athletes and the vitality of Canada,” said Menzies. “As Canada’s athletes prepare for the Olympic Games, I encourage Canadians to get excited about the Games and contribute to building a legacy that will benefit athletes and communities across Canada.”
‘Believe – The Music Video’ features Canadian recording artist Suzie McNeil, in collaboration with the National Arts Centre Orchestra, conducted by David Pierce. The video, which is available online at
www.bell.ca/believe, is part of the Own the Podium 2010 campaign, a national initiative providing targeted winter sports with additional resources and programming to help athletes achieve medal success in 2010.
“Building on the success in Torino, the partners of the Games, including Bell, a Premier National Partner, hope to build the support to bring our great athletes to the top of the podium in Vancouver and Whistler,” added Menzies.
