
Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Trade to lead business delegation to India

Ottawa - Ted Menzies, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Trade and to the Minister of International Cooperation, will lead the Canadian trade mission to India from March 12 to 16, 2007. The Honourable David Emerson, Minister of International Trade, is unable to travel due to illness. The visit to India includes stops in New Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai. Mr. Menzies will be accompanied by a delegation of Canadian businesses exploring opportunities in infrastructure development and other key sectors of the growing Indian economy. His visit will also intersect with a high-level delegation from the Canadian Council of Chief Executives (CCCE). Deepak Obhrai, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, will also be joining Mr. Menzies in India.
